The "minies"
In this group 30 children between 4 - 6 are looks after by Ilona Lindner. Rehearsal hours: Every Monday, 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. (Gemeindehalle Coelbe).
Apart from the usual events like children's carnival or St Nicholas' Day our youngsters already have some performances at birthday parties and similar accessions.
The "dance mice"
At the moment 32 dance mice between 6 and 9 rehearse under the guidance of Christiane Trier and Susanne Wagner.
They meet every Monday (except for the schoolholidays) at the local hall directly after the "mice" from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.!
In addition to events of the "Froehlicher Kreis" they have approximately 15 public performances annually at several meetings.
Every child has his/her own Protestant costume.
"Kindertrachtengruppe"
(group for children)Every Monday approximately 20 children between 9 and 14 meet in Coelbe in order to learn various folk dances. Between 6 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. Soeren Schmock teaches them traditional figures and steps on an advanced level.
This group regulary participates in the "Landes-Kindertrachtentreffen", a Hessian folk dance meeting for children and organises trips abroad every year. In addition to this there are a lot of public performances in the local district throughout the year. On these occasions the young dancers wear their Protestant costumes with the well - known red skirts.
"Jugendtrachtengruppe"
(group for adolescents)Ten pairs from 14 upwards represent our club at numerous official performances in all Hesse and beyond.
Every year several journeys abroad are on the agenda; on these tours the group generally participates in renowned international festivals. Apart from the Protestant costume the group has also the colourful Catholic costume at its disposal; this must not be bought but is provided by the "Froehlicher Kreis e.V. Coelbe".

(group for adults)More than 60 members form the "Trachtengruppe". They are all adults and meet according to agreement.
The "Trachtengruppe" has an estimated 10 performances throughout the year with Hungarian-German dances occupying the central position of the repertory. The "Froehlicher Kreis" possesses special costumes for these dances; they have all been sewn from original patterns.
"Musikgruppe"
(band)At the moment several accordionists accompany our dancers both at rehearsals and performances.
Of course, new members are always more than welcome. Anyone who is interested in joining us is invited to drop in at one of the rehearsals above - mentioned.
